MONTANA
My girls from Florida came up to visit me in the mountains and I got to show them some of my favorite parts of my home state. Sharing where we stayed, where we ate and outfit details!
LOCATIONS
Night 1: Under the Canvas in North Yellowstone
Holland found Under the Canvas and we all agreed a luxury clamping night would be fun, which it was! But we found out that it was a little less luxury than we thought LOL I want to start by saying the location IS STUNNING and the beds are so comfy. We grabbed two “Stargazer” tents and the tents had plenty of room for the 4 suitcases each tent had.
Night 2 + 3: Aspects in Big Sky
Aspects vacation home is your home away from home. It exceeded the expectations I had from the attention to details throughout the house with the decor, to having all the utensils you need in the kitchen to have a home cooked meal to the soft and cozy sheets in the beds - THIS is what vacation standards should be.
Night 4: The Armory in Bozeman, MT
Anytime I had to Bozeman, the Armory is my go to. It is one of their newer hotels but has a swanky vibe to it. Their rooftop bar is to diiiiiii for. It’s also in the middle of downtown so you don’t have to worry about Uber’ing!
FOOD + DRINKS
Night 1: Sage Lodge in Pray, Montana
We originally wanted to stay at Sage the first night but they require a two night stay in “prime” season and that did not fit with the schedule (or budget lol). Under the Canvas did offer food but I really wanted the girls to experience Sage because it’s just an absolutely must. The lodge, the views and food - 10’s all across the board. We shared a bunch of app’s and I got a burger. You honestly just cant’ go wrong with anything here!
Night 2: Cortina at The Montage in Big Sky, Montana
The Montage is a boujee ass resort in Big Sky and was STUNNING. I mean literally, high in the mountains right next to the ski resort. Again, thousands of dollars to stay here so we opt’d to go up and still enjoy the dinner! I had the steak and it was fantastic, the service was great and the scenery is stunning.
Night 3: Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky, Montana
Ok, I think this was all of our favorite nights. We went up early to check the property out (highly recommend because it’s gorgeous) and we grabbed a table in the bar. We brought one of Serena Kerrigan’s card games and had waaaay to much fun enjoying the cocktails and even having a ski shot (iykyk). We enjoyed a fantastic tomahawk dinner and yummy dessert. Per usual, we were the last table there LOL
Night 4: Brigade in Big Sky Montana
Brigade is also another go to for us when we visit, so I knew I wanted take the girls for our last dinner. Their filet is hands down the best steak we have living in Montana so definitely recommend getting that!
As far as bars we went to in Bozeman (this was the only night we went “out”). After Brigade we kept it classy at Plonk and slowly worked our way to the dive bars. The Crystal straight to the Rockin’ R. The Rockin’ R has a DJ on the weekends and is a great place to end the night!
FASHION
I had so much fun with this “theme”. I wanted to challenge myself to use pieces that I would also wear in everyday outfits and we were able to do so! I didn’t want to go full western because it would not have felt authentic to me, so I stuck with chic with a minimal western flare.
